German Medical Equipment (GME) Chest Seal Vented is designed for sealing open chest wounds. The integrated venting mechanism ensures that air can escape from the pleural cavity while preventing external air from being drawn in.
The separate 1X vent channels significantly delay blockage of the venting function caused by coagulated blood. The shape is adapted to the anatomy of the chest and optimized for “burping” (air release).
The material remains stable during “burping” without tearing or losing adhesion. Pre-folded format and optimized packaging allow space-saving transport, fast access and application under all conditions.
